Is it hot in here?

I have to admit that when I looked at this post/title I thought to myself how could you not love this? I mean, writing like sex? How cool is that? And then I read it and realized I really did love it. What a great way of looking at writing and the process and there are how-to tips included. What could be better than that?

So tell me: Is this what writing feels like for you? Have you tried any of the how-to tips? Do they work for you or do you have better suggestions you’d like to share?

  1. I'm glad I clicked the post/title, I am in full agreement with you it's something that you would want to read, the title alone captures you!

I have yet to try any of the how-to tips but I think I just might have to now that I've read them!!!

  2. I've read all the editing tips, but I don't do much with the writing tips. I write the way I want to, and when a project is done, I edit the best I can. Writing can be fun, but sometimes, when the muse skives off, I'm left with finding something mundane to do.

  3. Title is a lot! I just changed my title of my WIP. It has to catch your attention right away, and yours did :)

  4. There were a number of tips I was already doing. I even try to make love to my words. Okay, that sounds just plain weird. But it made sense in the article.

  5. Sex is like eating cupcakes. Writing is a job, i.e. I do it when I don't feel like it. I never eat cupcakes unless I want to. :)

  6. I didn't read it carefully (in a bit of a rush right now), but I can say writing is like sex: Often I don't feel in the mood but once I commit myself, I can get caught up in the spirit of things.

    TMI, right?

  7. I see where you're going with writing being like sex. And then when sex is in the writing...
