Happy Monday everybody. It’s time once again to celebrate ourselves. Tell us about something good that happened to you. Something that made you happy. Something that you did that made you feel good.
It doesn’t have to be big news or anything earth shattering. Small is good, too.
Today I want to celebrate the impending end of the year. Three weeks of class (15 classes), and three days of Finals and I am finished. I have to get all of my stuff boxed up/put away, but my classes are right on schedule to cover what we need to, (and four chapters ahead of most everyone else) so I am going to take a moment to celebrate. Given the huge suck of a year that it’s been, I have to have something, right?
Anyway, what about you? What’s happy and/or good going on in your life? Share it with us and celebrate yourselves.
A nice cool breeze last night after a few stinking hot days! :)
ReplyDeleteI love your celebrate Mondays post! Today, I celebrate getting back to my revisions! Yay me!
ReplyDeleteIn spite of work and bad weather and general annoying mondayness I've managed to write an entire chapter today. Yay me, too.
ReplyDeleteOh, I've got something I'm celebrating! My daughte went to her first Contesting Horse show this weekend with a horse she's never shown. And, might I just say she did awesome? I was so proud of her!! So, I'll celebrate her success!

Congratulations on almost being done!!
ReplyDeleteUMMM I'm trying to think of something to celebrate this Monday. So far we are back to the work grind with the hubs working overnights and that's kind of a downer... however I am really looking forward to having the time to revise more of my novel!!
I love this post and I hope it never leaves! You make me think of something positive to right down and it instantly improves my mood!!
Hmmm, I'm feeling the beginning of a ritual.
ReplyDeleteI woke up this morning before the chickens and the sun is shining and I'm still alive. And so are my parents and all those I love.
I guess that's enough....
oh! and I got my asparagus bed in.
Happy End of the Year to you, too! I'm celebrating reaching the end of my WIP.
ReplyDeleteEnd of the year... what a wonderful feeling! Congratulations on being (almost) done.
ReplyDeleteI'm finishing my Spring semester today. I have one more student's final exam to grade, then I can turn in my grades and pick up my last paycheck. I'm teaching an evening class but that doesn't start until next week, so I'm trying to work on my WIP as much as possible. I'm looking forward to a productive writing week!
Over the weekend I wrote a totally new first scene for the novel and gave it to my critique group. I'm hoping they think it's an improvement. It was very difficult to come up with something new... yet again.
Wow, Aubrie, congratulations!!! What an accomplishment!
ReplyDeleteA stray cat I had been feeding and trying to befriend, came back after having gone missing for a week. He looked a little bit worn and beaten, but it's promising that he returned to a place where he originally found some compassion and food.
ReplyDeleteHopefully in time, he'll let me close enough to get him to a vet and get his shots.
It's a small victory but one worth celebrating. These strays tend to distrust humans after being abandoned. (Hugs)Indigo
Congrats on ending your year. I want to look to getting organized, house cleaned, work done and jumping back into revisions without having writers block (and frustration).
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the impending end of the school year, Sarahjayne. :D
ReplyDeleteI'm celebrating that I'm almost finished my wip. I'm going through it one more time before sending it off to the final group of beta readers. I'm attending the LA SCBWI in July, and will be doing the professional critique, then it's query time come September.
I love this feature! Such an uplifting way to start the week.
ReplyDeleteI'm celebrating that the first part of my serial short story hits the UK newsstands this week! Of course, I have to wait a few weeks to get my copies from the editor, but I like knowing it's out there and people are reading it.
Hi Darling! Today I am giving another final which means summer is on its way!
ReplyDeleteI love these Monday posts :) Hooray that school is almost out! I'm excited about that too, I'm needing a break from running my kids around all over the place.
ReplyDeleteMy celebration. . . Just another happy day at home with my kids, and my moms coming for a visit :)
Congrats on the wrapping up of the year! That's got to feel great! =)
ReplyDeleteSchool starts for me next monday (summer history course).... I dread history, BUT it's a class i've put off for far too long. I get my wisdom teeth taken out this friday, and although I am not looking forward to the surgery or the healing, I AM looking forward to being wisdom teeth free.... and then onto the lasik eye surgery. =) I hope you have a wonderful week!!!
My celebration this week was finishing the main bulk of redrafting! Got some way to go yet, but oh my - the feeling is good. :)
ReplyDeleteI finished my wip last night - after five months of revision and I don't even remember how long the first draft took. I definitely felt like celebrating!
ReplyDeleteI just returned from a 3 day driving trip with my wife, her sister, and her brother-in-law. We had an absolute blast. First time I've ever gone past Las Vegas without stopping.
ReplyDeleteHello, and happy Monday to you too!
ReplyDeleteI spent the weekend at a book expo, practically *wallowing* in books of every kind, shape and topic. Now I know how a mouse feels in a cheese factory! :-)
I love that you find a way to celebrate on a Monday! So uplifting.
ReplyDeleteThis weekend my daughter had a wonderful turnout for her 4th birthday party, and we had such fun!
Yes, celebrate Monday. I love spring and the beauty of the gardens and trees. I look forward to seeing the new Yorkshire terrier my daughter acquired last weekend.
ReplyDeleteOooh, um, along the spring theme the cherry blossom was falling today. It was very uplifting and pretty :~) Happy Monday!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on classes almost being finished....Think of all the free time you'll have to write :) I'm happy my car is still running and I'm getting close to finishing my book...
ReplyDeleteYou're almost done. Hooray!
ReplyDeleteI just attended a great conference and feel like a world of opportunities have opened up to me. I'd better pounce on them!
I love celebrating Mondays :-) Best part of the Monday. I saw a movie this weekend! Rare occurrence worth celebrating ...
ReplyDeleteI just took out nine books from the library. Nine. Well, they're middle grade novels that I'm using for research, but they're books and they're fun. Any excuse to read is fine by me.
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good week!
Happy almost end of the year! My happy thing is that my parents are coming to visit! Today! It's been almost a year since I've seen them, so I'm excited.
