Here we are again at Monday and it’s time to celebrate ourselves. Tell us something good that happened to you. Something that made you happy. Something that you did that made you feel good.
It doesn’t have to be big news or anything earth shattering. Small is good, too.
I’m thrilled that I got up this morning at home in my own bed today. It was another quick trip to Chicago this weekend, and while I love the city and the chance to bond with family, the trip does mean hours in travel time and a change in time zones.
More about my weekend tomorrow, but for now I’m happy to be home and am celebrating the fact that I have the day off from work.
What about you? Share something happy and/or good in your life with us and celebrate yourselves.
Good morning!
ReplyDeleteI had a lovely time on Friday night. My husband and I walked from our house in Cambridge, over the bridge into Boston. We stopped for a drink, and then continued to Fenway to see a game. After the game, we walked home. Once we crossed the bridge back to Cambridge, we stopped and stared at the Boston skyline, which is beautiful all lit up.
I had a breakthrough with the current WIP and am now not stalled anymore.
ReplyDeleteI did some writing/revising on my favorite WIP - the first time I've written in weeks. We finally had a sunny Sunday to go on a motorcycle ride. I never knew before The Man bought the bike how relaxing that would be. I just sit on the back, watching the scenery (it's amazing how much more you see than when in a car!) and let my mind wander. I don't have to worry about traffic or getting somewhere by a certain time. And even though we don't talk much, it's a nice shared time for just the two of us. Oh, and I went to bed at a decent time last night!
ReplyDeleteNow...onto a crazy week!
I'm happy that it's nearly May, and I'll soon be planting my tomato garden :)
ReplyDeleteI had a major break through on my wip and the query (a lot of head banging with that one). I emailed one of my writer friends, and she loved the new change. :D
ReplyDeleteI bought some fertilizer for my garden. Heh. Not very exciting on its own, but it will be once the plants eat it and make me big flowers and vegetables!
ReplyDeleteOkay thinking here...thinking...thinking...I'm happy for all you wonderful people out there posting & commenting to brighten my day regardless of what else is going on.
ReplyDeleteWell, let's see. I'm almost done with another rewrite. Thirty pages left. That certainly makes me happy!!! ;-)

Two new cats joined our family: LucyFur & Gracie. They were scheduled to be euthanized at a local shelter. Our dog is adjusting and working through his issues. :)
ReplyDeleteI was able to start critiquing my crit partners work and I love it!!! They are so great and their stories are awesome!
ReplyDeleteI had a little writer's retreat this weekend to tackle the climax of my WIP and I managed to carve out over 7,000 words. I have thirty pages for my next writers' meeting! WHOO!
ReplyDeleteAlso, the White Sox won yesterday, and that was awesome.
Yay Celebrating Mondays!!
Even after 2 guys looked, my diagnoses (over the phone) of mother-in-laws car was the only right one. Muwahahaha! Justice, sweet justice.
ReplyDeleteI'm totally in love with my new gray sweatpants. They are, without a doubt, the most comfy pair of pants I've ever owned.
ReplyDeleteI got to shop for spring clothes with my hubby while my daughter had a playdate. Nothing quite like making his eyes light up when I stepped out of the dressing room to model something.
ReplyDeleteOh and my two favorite teenagers are staying in Philly for college! Glad I won't be losing my fangirls.

ReplyDeleteOoh today I ate the last lemon muffin.
ReplyDeleteLife is good.
MMmm, did someone say muffins?!
ReplyDeleteSJ, I'm pretty much happy every day. But right this exact moment, I am happy that my sweet little bichon puppy (she's 6, but she is tiny and looks like a puppy) is curled up on my lap while I type.
Happy Monday! :o)

YAY for days off of work!! Those are always the best.
ReplyDeleteI got all the ironing done. I hate ironing and the full basket stares at me accusingly, day in day out, week in week out. But said basket is now empty. I am ironing free, guilt free. Well until the next load of washing produces more ironing that is!
ReplyDeleteWell it was the first really warm weekend of the year in England! Not much but I hope it'll do :)
ReplyDeleteI ate healthy snacks all day! I'm proud.
ReplyDeleteIt's the little things.
This weekend my ten-year-old daughter and I went to see a movie together. She was so excited that we were going somewhere just the two of us.
ReplyDeleteI have my scene for the Lets Talk blogfest! And its really cute!...again. :) I'm having such a great writing day, and I'm SO excited, I could burst!
