TGIF!
Elana is running a Fantabulous Followers Giveaway and you need to go check it out. It really is fantabulous. She’s giving away seven books, but you only have until March 14 at 10 PM to enter. So hurry.
And since it’s Friday and we’re at the end of another brutal week, I thought I’d make myself feel better by putting up another one of the awards I’ve been hording. This one is really special not only because Wendy made it herself and I was one of the original recipients, but also because it was the first award two people gave me, which made me very happy. Roxy also bestowed the Quillfeather honor on me. So thank you both. Now what I’m supposed to do is tell you how I like my eggs. Here goes.
Scrambled with cheese. Scrambled with cut up hot dogs and cheese tossed in. Over medium with cheese melted on top. In a sausage omelet. In a sausage and cheese omelet. In a breakfast sandwich with ham and cheese. Are we sensing a theme here? In a country omelet with sausage and cheese and hashed browns stuffed inside and sausage gravy ladled over the top. With pancakes. Baked Italian style over tomato sauce and topped with fresh grated parmesan cheese. Eggs Benedict.
Can you tell I love eggs? And breakfast? Maybe I’ll swing through Mickey D’s on my way to work and get an Egg McMuffin.
Happy Friday and enjoy whatever you may be having for breakfast.

ReplyDeleteWhat Aubrie said!
ReplyDeleteI havent had my breakfast yet, I'm HUNGRY...I am so off to make cheesy scrambled eggs! (instead of my usual Cocoa Puffs) Today I koo-koo for eggs!
Happy Friday,
Lola
Now I'm hankering for a good eggy strata casserole with mushrooms and sausage.
ReplyDeleteI've been in a cereal routine far too long. I just don't like getting up early enough to cook something.
LOL! That's a fun award. And.... mmmm... eggs. Yum!
ReplyDeletewell, I was going to have some fruit! To heck with that. Now it's gonna be fried egg, bacon, and avocado, on an english muffin...
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Gee, I guess you don't like eggs much.
ReplyDeleteI am not a big breakfast fan, but you have made me hungry :).
ReplyDeleteBreakfast is my favorite meal - especially for dinner! :-)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on your award.
Fun egg dishes. I'll be making my ham & egg bake one day over spring break for me and all my boys (plus guests). I'm the house where they all gather.
ReplyDeleteIf it has a runny yolk, I'll take it!
ReplyDeleteAnd since Easter is getting near...what about *chocolate eggs*? :-)
ReplyDeleteThis way you can combine TWO delights!
Congrats on the award! But, I don't like eggs. . . ewwww. Except for eggs benedict, because the hollandaise sauce covers up all that yucky egg. :)
ReplyDeleteHi, Aubrie. Yep, chedder is great in scrambled egges. And, Lola? I hope you enjoyed the cheesy scrambled eggs. :)
ReplyDeleteHi, Laurel. I love getting up and eating breakfast, especially if someone else is cooking it for me. :) Weekdays I'm not much more than coffee and maybe a bagel because I don't get up early enough for a proper breakfast and I don't like cereal. But that casserole sounds great.
Kimberly, I'm with you and Shannon. Eggs are yummy. And I love them for dinner. :)
Pat, I hope you enjoyed your egg, bacon and avacado on a muffin. It sounds a lot better than fruit. :)
Hi, Anne. I love eggs. :)
Amy, I hope you enjoyed breakfast. :)
Gee, you do like eggs!
ReplyDeleteCongrats, oh so popular one :)
Hi, Mary. I totally get that. I'm the house in my corner of the world where everybody gathers. Your ham and egg bake sounds great. :)
ReplyDeleteSummer, I'm with you. :) Runny yolks are yummy.
Oh, Nym, how could I forget chocolate eggs? Epic fail. I love chocolate eggs. :)
Crystal, yay!hollandaise sauce! See? Something for everyone. :)
And, Wendy? I do, I do love eggs. :) Thanks so much for the award and my chance to proclaim my love for all to see. :)
Congrats on your award (twice!) Sausage and cheese omelet...yum!
ReplyDeleteDid you win that award for your blog or for your support of the chicken and the egg? Congrats, that rooster looks pretty dang cocky lol.
ReplyDeleteYour post made my tummy gurgle! Oh, eggs, how I love thee. I have eggs on toast every day for my lunch (and is it sad to admit I've been having them every day for the past two years?)
ReplyDeleteTGIF!
Thanks,Susan. Yep, sausage and cheese omelets rock. :)
ReplyDeleteHi, Karen. Good question. You'll have to ask Wendy. :) I'd like to think it's the blog since no one knew of my devotion to the egg until I proclaimed my adoration so loudly here. :)
Tali, that's not sad at all. I'd love to eat eggs everyday. And if you haven't gotten the Quillfeather, please feel free to take the award from me and celebrate your love of eggs for all to see. :)
Well...being in the layer business (my hubby has 60 beautiful Isa Browns)this is a matter close to my heart. Your rooster is beautiful though we don't have one. Might get one....hubby claims the hens all think he's their rooster and when he gathers eggs they hunch up and front of him and squat on his boots and won't get out of his way. Our chicken business is pure organic, from the ground up and the eggs are proof of that, plump and beautiful in a dazzling assortment of colors. I never knew there could be so many different shades of brown. And yesterday we even got a speckled one. Anyway....your post makes me want to get a rooster. Better than waking up to an alarm clock. Since we're putting our clocks forward tonight, I'm thinking about having to get up in the dark. Oh, but about your question.....I love deviled eggs, egg sandwiches, scrambled eggs and fried eggs. Can you make a mistake with an egg? NO!! And of course, the ultimate omelet with onions and peppers and tons of cheese. Have a nice weekend!!!
ReplyDeleteHow refreshing to find an eggy corner of the world when so many bloggers are obsessed with chocolate! (Not that I object to that...) I'm actually not much of an egg lover but I did invent an egg dish that even I liked - mashed potato with scrambled eggs whisked into it. It is utterly divine.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment you left on my blog party just now and congratulations on your eggy award. Consider this dish served virtually in your honour.
Hi, Yvonne. It's so cool that you're in the egg business and too funny about your hubby and the hens. :) How could I forget deviled eggs? My bad. And of course you're right. You can't make a mistake with eggs.
ReplyDeleteHi, Roz. Chocolate eggs! The very best kind. :) Your mashed potatoes and scrambled eggs sounds lovely. I'll have to try it in your honor. Thanks for sharing that.
Hi there! I found you through Theresa's blog...
ReplyDelete...and am now wondering whether I have anything egg-related in the kitchen that I can have for supper :)
Hi, there. And welcome. Good luck finding something eggy for supper. :)
