Celebrate Monday

Happy Monday everybody, sorry I'm late. I hope you all had a great weekend. It’s time once again as we start a new week to celebrate ourselves. Tell us about something good that happened to you. Something that made you happy. Something that you did that made you feel good.

It doesn’t have to be big news or anything earth shattering. Small is good, too.

Lately just getting through a weekend is celebration enough for me on a Monday. I cleaned house like a mad woman, between watching World Cup games, so now I get to sit and enjoy the fruits of my labor as I continue to work on the WIP. It’s growing and who knows? It might make novel status. I’m even trying to make headway on my crit group reading.

What about you? What’s making you happy and/or going well in your life? Share it with us and celebrate yourselves.

  2. I wrote a shiny new chapter for my wip at a critter's suggestion. Now I just have to write 2-3 more shiny new scenes, and edit the rest of the novel to accommodate them. ;)

  3. Happy Monday!

I received an email from the editor at the magazine that is publishing my short story -- she wrote to say how much she was enjoying proofreading it!

  16. Sounds like you had a productive weekend.

Saturday morning, I had dim sum. It was a lot of fun. I don't have anything more earth-shattering. I hope one of these Mondays I have something bigger to report.

  17. We're in the middle of a house hunt and it seems to take up every extra moment, but it is fun. The houses in Georgia are *so* different than house in California.

  18. I'm happy that I got all my cleaning and laundry done after a week of house guests, that I returned to blogging today (thanks so much for stopping by and welcoming me back!), and that I took my 10-year-old daughter shopping and out to lunch today, and she told me repeatedly what a great day she was having. :)

  19. Happy Tuesday - Sorry I'm a little late, though I'll still jump in on the fun!!!

I have officially started revisions and even though I'm only 9 pages in I'm really excited, I can see the changes being beneficial and I hope to start showing off my new work to my crit partners in August as planned!!

I hope the writing went well yesterday!

  20. I did a little cleaning, too. I resist the chore at first, then am so happy with myself when I've done something. Also, I'm purging through some old stuff which is cleansing. I treated myself to dinner with a friend on Sat. night.
