Happy Monday everybody. It’s time once again to celebrate ourselves. Tell us about something good that happened to you. Something that made you happy. Something that you did that made you feel good.
It doesn’t have to be big news or anything earth shattering. Small is good, too.
I’ll go first. School is finished. And so is my surgery. It went pretty well, according to the doctor, but it’s been a pretty rough weekend and I’m thinking this is the perfect time for me to unplug and take a week to get myself together. So I’m going to do that and I will see you all next Monday.
But before I go, what about you? What’s making you happy and/or going well in your life? Share it with us and celebrate yourselves.
OK, mixed feelings. I got a second request for revision on a short story through an e-zine I really want to be published in.
ReplyDeleteThe problem: they want the plot changed. Nobody seems to get the story. The plot is so convoluted, or subtle, that nobody understands what the story is about.
Interested publication, Yay! Totally misunderstood; Boo.

Enjoy your break!
ReplyDeleteIn my life? I'm happy with my beautiful children, and the time I spend with them. That's what life's about.
Enjoy your break! Surgery takes a lot out of somebody so rest is good!!
ReplyDeleteI am finally getting inspired for the novel I was having trouble with! Thanks to a book signing with an author and character collages!!
I'm so glad you're out of school, the surgery is over and you get to relax. I'll miss you but have a great week off. We'll see you when you get back.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad your surgery went well. I got another request for a partial, which makes three, so I'm celebrating that. And my show is on tonight!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely take it easy this week. It isn't often we get excuses to be good to ourselves so take full advantage of it.
ReplyDeleteAs for my good thing, I've had another three-part serial short story accepted by the UK woman's mag that bought my last two. Yay!
Sorry, I missed that you were having surgery. That is scary and draining, so I'm glad you're taking a break. Rest, recharge, renew--all that good stuff.
ReplyDeleteI had a quiet weekend and participated in a yard sale. I don't usually do that kind of thing but am elated to have de-cluttered and made a few bucks in the process. Little things can raise the ol' spirit. Now I have back-to-back and face-to-face crit groups today and tomorrow, so I'm excited.
Glad your surgery went well. Enjoy your time off!
ReplyDeleteI'm s glad you came through your surgery and it went well. You were in my thoughts Friday, and over the weekend.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week away, rest, relax. :)
Love,
Lola
Glad you're doing well after the surgery.
ReplyDeleteI'm celebrating the the past weekend. The daughter and I worked on her 4-H projects. We got spray glue...EVERYWHERE! LoL

ReplyDeletewe installed a toilet, so i guess that's cool
Hope you feel better soon. I'm finally better after being sick, so that is a very good thing.
ReplyDeleteI posted on this last week and couldn't think of anything to be happy about-had just found out a very close friend has cancer.
ReplyDeleteToday I'm happy that they've started chemo and she's out of the hospital and back at home. I'm grateful for all the people she has that have shown her love and that are helping her get through this.

The Man is making me happy -as usual- so very, very happy. I'm annoying myself with how mushy I get.
ReplyDeleteI'm not actually here, I'm just dropping off the new address for my site. Its thoughtsbylilahpierce.blogspot.com
ReplyDeleteHave a great unplug weekend and hope your recovery is quick!
ReplyDeleteI'm happy about a break through in the WIP, kids finally adjusting to a summer break schedule, and a husband back from traveling.
Have a restful week!
I'm happy that I've got my blog posts already scheduled through next week so I can focus on just writing. Whee!
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm happy that alcohol was invented. That's more of a generalized happiness though.
Enjoy your week o' relaxation, good lady. Rest up and feel better.
I'm glad the surgery went well and I hope you have a very relaxing, restful week!
ReplyDeleteI'm happy that after two weeks and three repairman visits, my oven is finally fixed! I baked two loaves of banana bread, a batch of blueberry muffins, and two batches of peanut butter cookies today (I guess I've been suffering from baking withdrawal.) :)
Have a restful week, Sarahjayne. Rest, recoup, feel better. Right now, just being is making me happy, because the alternative is unacceptable.
ReplyDeleteHeal asap! Enjoy your time out.
ReplyDeleteI am happy with my editing process.
